Prolibu glossary

This glossary collects the terms you’ll find across Prolibu Suite and the rest of this help center, grouped by topic.

  • Record — the generic term for an entry in any module: a contact, a company, a deal. Titles and text across this help center use “record” to talk about any of them without singling out the module.
  • Contact — the record for a person your team works with: it holds their data, their relationship to a company, and the follow-up tracked from Prolibu Suite.
  • Company — the record for a business in the Directory, with its own data and follow-up (notes, tasks, activity); contacts relate to it through their Company field. Creating and acting on it follows the same flow as Records, with a few differences of its own — see Create a record.
  • Deal — a real Prolibu module, alongside Contacts, Companies, Quotes, and Products in the command palette. It’s created from a contact via Create a deal with this contact and has its own Contact field, Collaborators, and Stage.
  • Quote — a real Prolibu module, alongside Contacts, Companies, Deals, and Products in the command palette. It doesn’t have its own article in this help center yet.
  • Product — a real Prolibu module, alongside Contacts, Companies, Deals, and Quotes in the command palette. It doesn’t have its own article in this help center yet.
  • Property — each field in a record’s form (Primary, Stage, Phone, Address, Social media, Identification, Source and permissions).
  • Stage — the selector in a record’s Primary section; its values are account data (renameable), not fixed interface text.
  • Module — each main area in Prolibu, such as Directory, Tools, or Email. Within the Directory module, the side menu provides access to objects and tables such as Contacts, Companies, and Deals.
  • Index page (table view) — the page that combines the module’s route, the Table/Pipelines selector, quick filters, the table with configurable columns, and the count and pager at the bottom.
  • Board view — the same set of records grouped into columns by Stage (or another stage-type field), regroupable from tabs above the columns.
  • Filter — the panel that narrows the current table’s records by conditions on their fields; its options change with the module you have open.
  • Segment — the section that groups the ways you search, group, switch views, and filter the contact list.
  • Command palette — global search (Cmd/Ctrl+K) that reaches several modules at once from any screen, unlike the table search.
  • Search (by table) — the field that filters live, as you type, only the records in the table and module you have open.
  • Shortcuts — icons in the top bar that take you straight to the modules you use daily, without opening the full menu.
  • Saved view — a combination of conditions from the Filters panel, saved under a name so you can reapply it later, either just for you or shared with your team.
  • Association — the way one record relates to another: a reference field (like Company on a contact) that points to a single record, or a one-off action that creates a related record (like Create a deal with this contact).
  • Collaborator — people who add shared work on a deal, with no limit on how many, without replacing whoever is in Assigned to.
  • Activity — the kinds of follow-up logged from a contact’s record (notes, tasks, emails, calls, meetings), summarized in the Activity tab.
  • Note — formatted text, links, or attachments written from the Notes tab of a contact’s record; type @ to mention a user and notify them.
  • Task — a to-do with a due date created from a contact’s record.
  • Call — a record with four fields (Assigned to, Direction, Stage, and Channel) logged from the Calls tab of a contact’s record; Channel is the only required field.
  • Meeting — a tab on a contact’s record that shows a calendar and lets you connect Google or Microsoft to view and create meetings.
  • Individual email — the email you compose and send from the Emails tab of a contact’s record, once your inbox is connected; different from the Email module, which is for bulk sending.
  • Script — code (Development → Scripts) that runs when a lifecycle event fires on a chosen object, such as every time a contact is created or updated.
  • Pipeline — a record’s progression through the Stages configured for its object; you can visualize it in the board view.
  • Role and record access — the permission matrix in System → Roles that decides, per object, who can view, edit, or delete a record by default.
  • Workspace — the workspace you search, pin, reorder, and switch from the top bar without leaving the current module.
  • Template — a reusable message for your communications with contacts.
  • Snippet — short, reusable content for your communications with contacts.
  • Notification — an alert in the notification tray; the bell’s numeric indicator shows how many are pending.
  • Scoring — a module that computes a score on a record from configurable criteria. It isn’t shown in the side menu; its list opens directly at /ui/spa/stg/scorings.
  • Interest (deal temperature) — a thermometer icon (Cold/Hot) in the Deals table that reflects whether the sent proposal was opened and how recently.
  • Source — a free-text field on Contact and Deal for noting a record’s origin.
  • Custom report — a cross-object report built in Reports (Tools → Analytics → Reports), a module separate from CRM records.
  • Import / Export — loading contacts from a file, exporting a table’s results, and working with bulk selection.
